The final game of the Ethiopian Higher League Group B was held on Friday between Shashemene and Jinka. They will play in the BetKing Ethiopia Premier League next season along with Commercial Bank who have also been promoted. Shashemene City have won the Higher League, Ethiopia's second tier league, to earn promotion to the BetKing Ethiopia Premier League. Shashemene City won the game 2-0 to end the 2022/23 Higher League Group B competition with victory. It will be recalled that last season, Arbaminch City, Ethio Electric and Legetafo Legedadi were promoted to the BetKing Ethiopia Premier League.
