Bihar chief minister and JD(U) president Nitish Kumar addressing the party’s national executive committee during a meeting in Patna on Saturday. Kumar dared the Yadav loyalists, who had claimed that the “original” JD(U) was with them, to “break” the party. “Why did you (Yadav) not speak up in 2013 when the party broke away from the NDA? He also made a scathing attack on suspended JD(U) Rajya Sabha member Ali Anwar Ansari and former Bihar minister Ramai Ram—two prominent faces around Yadav. Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi has levelled a series of corruption allegations against Lalu and his family.
