What began with intermittent drizzles turned into a heavy rain by evening resulting in inundation of roads and low lying areas in the town. Bheemgal received the highest rainfall of 6.6 mm followed by Sirikonda 6.2 mm, Varni and Rudrur 6 mm, Velpur 5 mm and Nizamabad 2.4 mm. The district received a total of 75.6 mm rainfall on Saturday, according to official sources.
