I appreciated that he and other people came to my rescue when my mother went missing. I asked him if he could explain what was happening and all he said was, “I didn’t know you were a virgin.”I was in pain. I didn’t believe her because I had never been pregnant before and certainly didn’t know how pregnancy felt. The man who raped me suggested that we move in and live as husband and wife. Being married ‘to the man who raped me’ was the worst experience in my life.
