Asked whether he could claim that " achchhe din" (good days) had arrived for the people after four years of the Modi government, Shah avoided uttering the phrase. "We have made a successful effort to improve the lives of 22 crore families. I believe that no other government had made a successful effort to raise the living standard of 22 crore families in four years," Shah said. "The Opposition wants to defeat Modi but Modiji wants to defeat poverty and improve the lives of the poor," Shah said.
