Sh70m Safaricom phones theft suspect in court

Former manager Stanley Opiyo Mjomba is alleged to have stolen 814 assorted mobile phones from the Safaricom Centre in Westlands, Nairobi. The offence was allegedly committed between April 12 and December 23 last year. His lawyer, Samuel Ogutu, urged the magistrate to release his client on bond, saying he is a father of two and will appear in court when required. He said his client has been cooperating with the police since investigations into the theft started on April 12 last year.
