Severe thunderstorm warnings lifted in southeastern Manitoba

Severe thunderstorm warnings issued earlier Saturday morning in southeastern Manitoba have now been lifted, Environment Canada says. As of 11 a.m., no alerts were active in Manitoba, according to the weather agency. Thunderstorm warnings had earlier been issued for areas that included Falcon Lake, West Hawk Lake, Pointe du Bois and the RM of Reynolds. Environment Canada issues severe thunderstorm warnings when storms are happening or about to happen, and when they're deemed likely to produce large hail, damaging winds or torrential rainfall.
