ALOR SETAR: The man suspected to be the mastermind behind the abduction and rape of a 17-year-old has been remanded for seven days from Friday (Dec 22) at the Sungai Petani magistrate's court here in connection with the abduction and rape of a 17-year-old in Yan. On Thursday (Dec 21), SAC Mior said that the 17-year-old girl was abducted and repeatedly raped because her boyfriend allegedly could not settle his debt with a drug dealer. The girl was abducted by the dealer – a wanted man in his 50s – and held as a sex slave. “The case is being investigated under Section 376 and 342 of the Penal Code for rape and wrongful confinement,” he added.
