Service resumes on Lakeshore GO train line after police investigation of fatality

Service on the Lakeshore West GO line has resumed following a police investigation Saturday afternoon, after a person was fatally struck on the tracks east of Clarkson station, GO Transit says. Peel Regional Police say they were called to the Queen Street West and Shawnmarr Road area in Mississauga just before 3:30 p.m., following reports of a person on the tracks. Mextrolinx later confirmed a fatality. Shuttle buses were operating between Clarkson and Port Credit stations as Peel police's major collision bureau investigated. Some residual delays are possible, according to GO Transit.
