more-inThe experience of Telangana government to integrate 44 of its agricultural market committees (AMCs), the highest in the country, with e-National Agricultural Market (e-NAM) when it was introduced last year was not a happy one as there were server problems right from the kharif season of 2016. Even these three AMCs experienced server problems during peak hours in the season. Mr. Rao warned the Centre that the market players at market yards took undue advantage of poor e-NAM implementation due to disturbances in the trading at markets. The Centre had launched e-NAM which was a pan-India electronic trading portal networking in the existing agricultural produce marketing committees and other market yards to create a unified national market for agricultural commodities. e-NAM was a virtual market with a physical market (mandi) at the back end.
