One person has been arrested by the Udaipur Police for allegedly a racket of smuggling and illegal trade of ammonium nitrate in the country. During interrogation, he said that the accused has confessed that more than 1,500 trucks were involved in his racket for transporting and smuggling ammonium nitrate in different parts of the country. "He has connections with many firms who supply ammonium nitrate. His name cropped up during investigation of two cases of smuggling of ammonium nitrate in Udaipur last year. Ammonium nitrate is a chemical compound which is commonly used as agriculture fertilisers.
