It was filmed in and around the North West of England, including the Saddleworth Moors near Marsden and Oldham’s Alexandra Park. Run Away currently has a 7.1 out of 10 rating on Netflix and a 75 per cent rating on Rotten Tomato. It has just overtaken Stranger Things in the Netflix rankings. The latest instalment, which has been three years in the making, is the fifth and final series of Stranger Things. It was released in three parts over November and December 2025, with the big finale airing on New Year’s Eve.
