Well, Arry Baee and the other villagers of Kampung Paon, Sungai Rimu in Serian, Sarawak, have been living in fear of “zombie” dogs. “The stray dogs are acting like zombies,” he said. Long before the rabies outbreak, SSPCA had been working with the authorities to vaccinate and neuter stray animals. Under the Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate and Release programme, stray dogs are captured and taken to a veterinary clinic to be neutered. Kudos to the authorities and NGOs involved in ongoing efforts to curb the rabies outbreak in order to save lives.
