Senior high students score lowest in national assessment history – The Manila Times


According to a Department of Education (DepEd) briefing material posted online, the first two batches of senior high school students scored 36.71 and 36.45 mean percentage score (MPS) in the Basic Education Exit Assessment (BEEA), the assessment test for graduating senior high students. The 2018 and 2019 BEEA results are contained in power point presentation titled “Making the Pivot from Access to Quality” posted in the website of the Magna Anima Teachers College (https://magna-anima.com/advantages/research-and-development). These are the lowest ever scores in history of Grade 6 NAT while for Grade 10, the 2017 MPS was the lowest ever while the 2018 is the third lowest. The 2018 NAT results attached to DepEd-Cordillera Regional Memorandum No. 157-2019 in its website confirms the 2018 BEEA overall MPS of 36.71 and likewise the 2017 and 2018 overall scores for Grades 6 and 10.
