The HK$2 concession fare on public transport for senior citizens will soon go on a real name registration system to prevent possible abuse of the measure, said Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor. Authorities earlier announced that people aged between 60 to 64 will also be able to ride public transport for just HK$2, lowering the age threshold from 65 to 60 to ease financial burdens on senior citizens. Senior citizens will be given an Octopus card with their photo on it after registration.
