The Hospital Authority said today that six people who tested positive for Covid-19 had been wrongly informed to be negative. A spokesman from the authority said the vendor helping with the testings had sent the wrong test results to the six individuals in text messages. However, the authority stressed that the patients have not stayed in the community after being tested positive for the virus. “By the time the contractor is notifying the individuals about the test results on Wednesday, the six were already in isolation in hospital,” the spokesman added. The authority said it had reported the mix-up to the privacy commissioner.
