Senate speaker Ekwe Ethuro has approved a petition to probe incidences of mob justice and police extra-judicial killings in the country. In his petition, Gesicho stated that incidences of mob justice have been on the rise at an alarming rate. David O Gesicho - the petitioner, wants the August house to establish a joint parliamentary select committee to investigate the rising occurrences of police brutality and mob justice in the country. “It is my prayer that Parliament establishes a joint select committee to investigate the matter and make appropriate recommendations to address the it," Gesicho said. Gesicho also stated that incidences of police brutality and extra judicial killings have been frequently reported.
