De Lima commended Moreno after stating that he fully supports President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs but would ensure that human rights of suspected drug offenders would be respected under his watch. “I hope that other mayors will follow Isko’s lead and put more premium on respecting human rights and giving importance to the dignity of human life,” the senator added. Aside from respecting human rights, the opposition senator likewise, advised Moreno to focus on other challenges in the campaign against illegal drugs.
