Selangor records highest number of baby dumping cases for two years in a row


KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor recorded the highest number of baby dumping incidences last year with 23 cases. The state was followed by Johor with 19 cases and the Federal Territories with 16 cases. Sabah and Kuala Lumpur have seven cases each, while no baby-dumping cases were reported in Kelantan, Terengganu and Sarawak this year. "Among them is the establishment of Remaja Center Cafe@Teen which aims to increase access to information on reproductive health among youths aged 13 to 24. "A total of 434,540 teenagers participated in educational and skills development programmes, 29,563 teenagers received reproductive health services while 9,097 teenagers received social counselling services," she said.
