KARACHI: A meeting to review the security plan for the chehlum of Hazrat Imam Husain (RA) on October 8 was held at the headquarters of Sindh Rangers in Karachi on Tuesday. The meeting decided to make arrangements for the security of A-category processions and majalis in all districts of the province. Last week, Sindh Home Department announced a ban on pillion riding across the province on October 8. IGP Ghani said that under the comprehensive strategy for the security of pilgrims and devotees on the annual Urs of Hazrat Ali Hajveri, senior officers should formulate security plans under their own supervision. He issued directions for comprehensive traffic management and security arrangements for the Raiwind congregation.
