Captain Raksak Chaikij and his driver were travelling on Thung Yan Daeng-Mayor Road when they heard gunshots. Rushing to the scene, they saw two gunmen walking towards the pickup to fire more shots. Inside the truck, Kittisak Donpon, 55, and his son Apiwich Donpon, 38, were both seriously injured. Apiwich’s wife and young son, sitting in the back, were unharmed. Kittisak and Apiwich are being treated at Pattani Hospital.
