The search continues in southeastern British Columbia for a teacher who went missing on Monday while looking for a spot for students to read poetry. Searchers backed by a dog team and a helicopter are scouring a recreational area near Crawford Bay, B.C., hoping to find any sign of Nelson resident Alvin Dunic, age 57. Facebook posts show a community meeting was held on Tuesday at the Crawford Bay school to update parents, students and staff about the search. Dunic's wife is also asking the public to stay away from the search area in order to avoid interfering with search efforts. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Alvin Dunic, and the Crawford Bay School community.
