Scotland star John McGinn has thrown his weight behind a campaign to save a popular golf course near Glasgow. The Aston Villa midfielder said he was "gutted" to hear that Dalmuir Municipal Golf Course might be shut by Labour-run West Dunbartonshire Council as part of a cost-saving exercise. Connelly said: "This is my golf club and course. Founded in 1928, Dalmuir is a 5,319-yard 18-hole course that costs just £11 to play on weekdays.
