All private and government schools in Gurugram and Faridabad will remain closed on May Monday and Tuesday as the Haryana government announced the two-day leave for all schools in the state after fresh warnings of thunderstorms accompanied by squall, hail and heavy rains for Monday. Last week, the weather department had sounded a thunderstorm and rain alert in Delhi and neighbouring states for the next three days. Parts of western Uttar Pradesh like Meerut, Hapur, among other, too will see a thunderstorm with rain, according to the Met department. Besides, dust storm and thunderstorm are also likely at isolated places in West Rajasthan, it said. Similarly, thunderstorm and squall are likely at isolated places in Haryana and Chandigarh on Monday.
