"No matter where you go, you can say, 'My school, in 2017, was the school of the year, the best elementary school in the state of New Hampshire.'" In other categories, winners were Winnacunnett High School in Hampton, Deerfield Community (K-8) School and David R. Cawley Middle School in Hooksett. Another committee member, Collette Flanders, a first-grade teacher at Thortons Ferry School, an elementary school in Merrimack, was impressed with the energy she sees at Pleasant Street School.
