MELAKA: A vernacular school here faces another setback just after a month after successfully containing the spread of Covid-19. SRJK (C) Bukit Beruang here was hit by a massive flash flood on Monday morning (May 17), damaging some furniture. The school's Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) chairman Datuk Ronald Gan said floodwater gushed into classrooms like a "waterfall". "This was the first time the school was affected by a flash flood, and mud covered our stairways and classrooms. Meanwhile, flash floods hit the state and have led to the evacuation of 321 individuals who are presently sheltered at four evacuation centres here.
