He said expectations for the current administration's policies remain limited. Unlike the 1997 crisis, which centred on financial institutions, he said current risks involve stagflation that affects all sectors and the broader population. Crucially, those in power must not exploit the crisis for personal gain or engage in conflicts of interest stemming from their policies."
