Lt Gen Adul: Urging tourismDefence Minister Lt Gen Adul Boonthamcharoen insisted the Thai-Cambodian border situation remains under control, with no indication of a third round of clashes, while urging tourists to visit attractions in the area. He made the remarks while chairing a local event to restore confidence among locals in Kantharalak district of Si Sa Ket. Lt Gen Adul said the government wants to reassure the public, businesses and investors that the military and state agencies are fully prepared to protect national sovereignty. The minister also encouraged tourists to visit Kantharalak district, highlighting natural attractions such as Pha Mor E Daeng, Khao Sattasom and the Sam Ta mountain range. Asked about concerns along the border, he said there was no cause for alarm, as authorities had secured all areas following the earlier clashes.
