When 68-year-old Pip Taylor recieved an email from “Spark” asking her to update her password she knew something was up. Spark confirmed that the email was fraudulent, and was a common phishing scam. Supplied An email from scammers claiming to be from ‘the team at Spark’ is really a common phishing scam. A spark representative told Stuff that the Covid-19 lockdown has brought on an increase in scamming activity across the country. Spark encourages any customer who is uncertain about whether an email is a scam to check on the Scam Safety section of the Spark website.
