According to a Savar police source, police had been tracking the mobile phone activities of Liton for three days since the incident occurred in Savar. In a confessional statement to the police on Wednesday morning, Liton admitted to committing the crime. According to Inspector Suhrawardy, Liton admitted to his crimes and the involvement of others. A number of police constables including the Special Branch (Savar) Constable Rezaul (Batch No 2663) used to visit him. Savar OC Mohsinul said that Liton has admitted to his crimes and the police have asked for seven days of remand for him.
