After Saudi Arabia recorded its first coronavirus case on March 2, the public health response was swift. ADThat same week, King Salman issued an order shifting to “a partial curfew,” easing restrictions during Ramadan, which began April 24. The number of reported infections immediately began to increase and has averaged 2,400 cases a day over the past seven days. On Monday, the UAE announced that the nighttime curfew would start two hours earlier, at 8 p.m.
