I am referring to the report “Sarawak to teach Maths and Science in English” in The Star yesterday (online at bit.ly/star_english). Sarawak has led the way this time round. As Sarawak leads the way forward, let us celebrate the political scenario in the Land of the Hornbill, where benefits to the larger community is supreme in their governance and administration. Whoever says that there is nothing we can learn from Sarawak should be silenced once and for all. Can this initiative by the Sarawak government be an unplanned answer to arrest mediocrity in Science and Maths?
