NewsThe Election Commission (EC) has said that Sarana Mawatha in Rajagiriya will be closed off from 7 am until 1 pm on October 7 - when nominations for the presidential election would be accepted. Issuing a statement, EC Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya said that Sarana Mawatha where the EC is also located, would be closed for pedestrians and vehicles. Accordingly, all employees of institutions located down Sarana Mawatha would be informed about the road closure, Deshapriya said. Meanwhile, the EC has also issued another set of guidelines which would be in effect on October 7. The guidelines are produced below :
