Saracens unbeaten start to season ended by rejuvenated Harlequins

Saracens’ defeat – their first of the season, and indeed since March – may have come as a major surprise but it was a fully warranted victory for Harlequins, who scored tries through their wings Tim Visser and Charlie Walker. Charlie Walker, taking Yarde’s place on the wing, made early inroads down the right and Tim Swiel landed the subsequent penalty. Swiel again added a tricky conversion – just reward for the intent and patience shown by Quins as Saracens repeatedly held up their driving maul. Little was coming off for Saracens but a canny kick over the top from Richard Wigglesworth preceded an extended Saracens siege. Brown was hoping the ball would run dead while Wigglesworth stole in and appealed for the try.
