San Diego Gay Men's Chorus angry over silencing during national anthem at Padres game

"Before the start of the last night’s San Diego Padres game,100 volunteer singers of the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus took to the field to proudly sing the national anthem. The San Diego Padres issued an apology on Sunday amid criticism by a gay men's chorus over the way members were treated during the national anthem for Saturday night's game against the Dodgers. “This evening, during the pregame ceremony, a mistake was made in the Petco Park control room that prevented the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus from performing the national anthem as scheduled. The group asked the San Diego City Attorney and Human Relations agency to looking into whether laws were broken. Instead, in front of the large crowd gathered for the LA Dodgers game, the San Diego Padres played the recorded voice of a woman singing the anthem.
