NewsPresidential candidate Sajith Premadasa today (Oct 18) said his government will encourage innovators by offering them new opportunities. “We as a government will fully support all such endeavours especially in the new technology area,” the New Democratic Front (NDF) presidential candidate said at the Colombo Business Forum. He pledged to establish a structure that would see efficient decision making of national policies impacting both the economic and socio-political fields. "We will be scientific, surgical and focused and task oriented when it comes to national policy decision making," Premadasa told the gathering. The presidential candidate also vowed to reform the tax system, and reduce existing taxes, to encourage the growth of private entrepreneurships.
