Sabahans not interested in Pakatan Harapan's pledge to review MA63

KOTA KINABALU: Datuk Seri Raymond Tan has dismissed Pakatan Harapan's pledge to review the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), saying that no Sabahans in their right minds will be interested in it. State Deputy Chief Minister said Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad appeared to have forgotten the nation's history when announcing the plan to review MA63 if Pakatan Harapan wins the general elections. "MA63 has provided the legal foundation that created Malaysia as a nation and attached in its Annexures are the Constitutions of Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. Tan, who is also state Industrial Development Minister said most Sabahans including its political leaders would not ask for more and were only interested in protecting their special rights. He added that in the past, it was Dr Mahathir who never acknowledged the special positions of Sabah and Sarawak.
