JASIN: It was a tense moment for Form 5 student Muhammad Zulfadli Zahari, who almost missed his Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) History paper after being left stranded by a flash flood for two hours today. Zulfadli said his mother, Miszuzana Shukor, 41, immediately contacted the school’s management before eight Civil Defence Force personnel came to his rescue at 8am. “They helped me wade through the water for about 100 metres before ferrying me to school using their van,” said Zulfadli. “I also managed to answer the second History paper in time. Meanwhile, Civil Defence Force Lieutenant Colonel Effendy Ali said 300 personnel have been put on standby to assist potential flood victims in the state.
