Rishi Sunak has said he is working towards a general election in the second half of the year. Afterwards, he told reporters: "The country is ready for an election... so what is Rishi Sunak hiding? he's basically saying he's going to be squatting for months and months in Downing Street dithering and delaying." Silence.... it's almost as if Humza Yousaf DOESN'T WANT a general election on May 2. Then again, it could all be a double bluff – as Sunak has refused to categorically rule out a May election.
