November 24, 2020 by Mihi Perera No CommentsThe Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has decided to set up a COVID Security Fund for passengers traveling in SLTB buses, as compensation if a person is infected while traveling in a bus. Accordingly, one rupee of the bus fare charged to each passenger will be allocated to the Passenger Fund, said the Chairman of the Board, Attorney-at-Law Kingsley Ranawaka. Under this programme, it is planned to pay compensation if a person becomes infected with COVID-19 due to traveling in a SLTB bus.
