Firefighters were working on Saturday evening to tackle a raging inferno that crowned a tank at the Mumbai Port Trust's oil terminal, after lighting struck the massive cylinder of fuel. The oil terminal is on Butcher Island, which is located off the Mumbai coast. The terminal has the capacity to store 1,80,000 metric tons of oil, officials said. While the situation at the oil terminal is still critical, it is under control, fire officials say. The Mumbai fire brigade, Mumbai Port Trust fire teams, and the Coast Guard are working together to deal with the blaze.
