Or more accurately, a dimmer switch that’s been on low but has now been raised to a much brighter setting. Last season, Laine had six instances where he went at least four games without a point. There’s been just one stretch of three games where Laine hasn’t produced at least one point this season. “That you can’t be casual.”‘Casual’ is how many would describe Laine’s defensive game at times over the previous three seasons.
