A four-member appellate bench led by Acting Chief Justice Md Abdul Wahhab Miah also adjourned the Niko petition for three weeks on Thursday. The court ordered a certified copy of the High Court decision be published before the end of the stay. Attorney General Mahbubey Alam represented the state at the hearing while Lawyer Mostafizur Rahman Khan and Barrister Tanjib-ul Alam represented Niko. The High Court dismissed the two deals on Aug 24 and ordered confiscation of Niko's assets in Bangladesh. Niko signed two deals in 2003 and 2006 to explore and sell natural gas to Bangladesh.
