Chandrachud that Rangnekar was threatened by Chaudhry. Rangnekar, in his email to CoA chairman Vinod Rai, wrote that Chaudhry had warned him that he would have "evaporated" had he been in Haryana. The email was placed before the court by Subramanium during a brief hearing. The amicus curiae, however, did not elaborate on the alleged threats and the reasons for the same.
