National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwah has responded to former President Uhuru Kenyatta's remarks regarding President William Ruto's alleged failure to reach out to him. He expressed his willingness to respond if President Ruto ever sought his advice, as he now considers Ruto to be his President. However, Ichungwah dismissed Uhuru's statements, asserting that Ruto does not need advice from a former president who had initially supported him for a decade but later turned against him during his State House bid. Ichungwah accused Uhuru of creating obstacles, which Ruto successfully overcame, eventually being elected as the fifth President. He suggested that the only advice Uhuru could offer would be related to "state capture, self and family ahead of country, and handshakes to facilitate looting."
