Our Special Correspondent AND PTIRitu ChhabraChandigarh: A teenager rusticated from school a fortnight ago returned on Saturday morning armed with a revolver, barged into the principal's office and shot her dead. The 18-year-old was overpowered and handed over to police, who have booked the boy for murder and detained him. Sources said the boy, who was a Class XII commerce student of Swami Vivekanand School in Yamunanagar, Haryana, before he was rusticated early in January, had just turned 18. Sources said the boy had been rusticated for falling short on attendance and picking fights with his classmates and other students. Police sources said the boy had revealed during questioning that he was upset with the principal.
