Russian flights set to be launched to Egyptian resorts 7-14 days after air service resumption: TASS


CAIRO – 23 April 2021: Executive director of the Russian Association of Tour Operators Maya Lomidze revealed TASS Russian tour operators’ plans to launch charter flights to the Egyptian resorts in 7 to 14 days after air service is resumed. In a phone call on Friday, Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed on resuming all flights between the two countries' airports including to the resorts of Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada. The decision to resume flights to the Egyptian resorts ends a hiatus that has lasted since 2015 over a Russian plane crash over Sinai, which killed all 224 people onboard.
