A court adjourned a ruling on whether to put six allies of former President Daniel arap Moi on defence to September 12. The witness said Chepkwesi was the registrar in charge of Eldoret land registry when the property was fraudulently acquired. The officer said Chepkwesi issued the titles despite being served with a court order vacating the adverse possession order that had been issued by justice Philip Ramsley. The court also heard that Tarus was the paramount chief of Kiplombe location in Eldoret where the disputed land is located. She arbitrarily issued instructions to the district land registrar Eldoret to issue title deeds in total disregard of the court order.
