Eight governors in the North Rift are discussing insecurity in Kerio Valley, which is ravaged by banditry. Kerio Valley Development Authority CEO David Kimosop said they will host a major conference for the newly elected leaders to discuss security and development the region. He was speaking in Eldoret after meeting elected leaders from Tiaty Constituency in Baringo led by area MP William Kamket. West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo told the Star he and his counterparts in the North Rift are addressing insecurity. “Leaders from Pokot, Turkana, Baringo have already began discussions,” he told the Star on the phone.
