France edged Georgia 24-21 to place ninth, and Italy (41-17) consigned Japan to the 2017 World Rugby Trophy competition. By Campbell BurnesNew Zealand have finished with the flourish they so desperately desired to seal fifth position at the World Rugby Under 20 Championship in Manchester. Their fifth try, to replacement hooker Asafo Aumua, was a superbly constructed team effort going through several phases and pairs of hands. This is England's third world Under 20 title, after championships in 2013 and 2014. But New Zealand were irrepressible from turnover and counter-attack ball and showed their full range of passing skills and support play.
